Cataline Elementary

Cataline Elementary students in Kindergarten, grade 1 & 2, had the privilege of having some nursing students from TRU come to our school and teach all about hand washing. The nursing students put a special gel on the students' hands which represented germs. With the use of a black light, the children were able to see all the ‘germs’ on their hands. They were then tasked with washing the ‘germs’ off. They checked in with a nurse with the blacklight to see how effective their handwashing was. It was a great lesson and some students realized how they need to be a little bit more thorough with their hand washing.
