School plan for student success reporting was redesigned in the 2024/2025 school year to directly align with the provincial framework for Enhancing Student Learning Report analysis, interpretation, and goal setting structure. The summary of the plans is the result of ongoing monitoring and professional conversation about how our students are doing in important areas including sense of belonging, literacy and numeracy skills.
School teams have access to timely information such as attendance, assessment results, report card data, survey data, and contacts and supports in the Cariboo Information Management System (CIMS). CIMS is a powerful tool that lets teams see patterns of success and where there is something to be curious about. The ability to search, sort, and disaggregate data in real time is essential for educator teams to make sense of what is happening and inform decisions about school-wide as well as targeted supports and strategies.
When it comes time to create the plan itself, CIMS provides schools with prepopulated data sets of the school results in district and provincial goal areas and the areas for the school to speak to and respond with next steps. CIMS supports seamless plan creation so schools can focus their time and energy on the work with and for students.
The plans for the 2025/2026 school year were approved by the Board of Education in November. We are proud to share the plan summaries with our district community.
