New Year, New Opportunities to Thrive in CCSD -
We are excited to welcome new and returning students to another outstanding year in the Cariboo-Chilcotin School District.
Over the summer, staff worked hard preparing schools, hiring team members, and ensuring a smooth start to the year. Across our district, schools are intentionally creating learning environments where every student feels safe, valued, connected, and inspired to learn.
Together, we remain focused on key areas that help students thrive: collective responsibility, high-quality instruction, safe and inclusive learning communities, Indigenous learning and culture, and place-based learning. This year, we are also prioritizing belonging, purpose, and joy in learning. Meaningful relationships between students, caregivers, and educators are at the heart of student success. When young people feel connected, supported, and encouraged, they are more likely to engage, persevere, and flourish. We remain committed to strengthening these partnerships with the support of our staff and community partners.
We also look forward to improving student attendance with your partnership. Every day matters. From hands-on learning and collaborative projects to learning on the land and unique local opportunities, students will benefit most by being present and engaged from the start of the year.
