Adventures in Literacy were enjoyed by all at our Ready, Set, Learn event, Shipwrecked at Scout Island. More than 140 participants joined us at Scout Island to search for lost treasure using the maps provided. This event highlights different areas of Scout Island and offers opportunities for literacy, oral language development, and physical activity through a variety of engaging stations.
Thank you to all the families who took part, and to our community partners—the Cariboo Regional District Library Williams Lake Branch and the Childcare Resource and Referral—for joining us in creating meaningful connections with families. Many families expressed their appreciation for the exciting adventure and the chance to explore one of our community’s rich outdoor resources.
