A massive shout out to all the families who joined us for a marvelous morning of treasure hunting and alphabet‑keys! With map in hand, families set off in search of three hidden treasure chests. Once found, young explorers traded their diamond, gold nugget, and gold coin for special take‑home treasures at the Treasure Exchange Booth.
The Cariboo‑Chilcotin School District was joined by an incredible group of community partners who filled the event with hands‑on fun and creativity. Activities included making cork boats, face painting, unlocking the alphabet treasure chest, a field of bubbles, an obstacle course, the pirate toss, walking the plank balance beam, creating a Métis “spoons” craft, and visiting the pirate photo shop—where memories were captured and sent home with participants.
A heartfelt thank‑you to our amazing partners:
Cedar Crest Society, Cariboo Family Enrichment Center, Métis Nation of B.C., Interior Health (Public Health and Speech & Language Pathologist), Cariboo Regional District Library – 100 Mile Branch, and the Cariboo‑Chilcotin School District StrongStart Educators and Early Learning Coordinator. Your contributions made this event unforgettable.
