Mile 108 Elementary
As part of our school-wide learning around the Seven Sacred Teachings, students from every class were given a quilting square and proudly designed an animal representing one of the teachings. A heartfelt thank you to Nancy Melville and Ruth Parsad, who generously donated countless hours of their time, talent, and expertise to transform the individual squares into beautiful quilts. Their dedication turned each student's contribution into a lasting work of art. The completed quilts were presented by our students to the Knowledge Keepers from our community who have so generously shared their wisdom, culture, and teachings throughout the year. This meaningful act of giving provided students with an opportunity to express their gratitude while learning an important lesson about generosity, reciprocity, and the value of giving back to strengthen connection and foster a deep sense of belonging and respect.
