Likely Reads

As part of BC Family Literacy Week, our school hosted a community reading hour that brought students, families, staff, and community members together to celebrate stories and the power of shared learning. The event supported our goal of fostering safe, caring, and inclusive learning communities by creating a warm and welcoming space where readers of all ages could connect, listen, and learn alongside one another. Through shared reading circles and conversations, students experienced a sense of belonging while seeing literacy as something held collectively by the whole community. Moments like these strengthen relationships and remind us that learning is enriched when everyone contributes and feels included.
