High Energy Hoop Dancing

This year, Cataline Elementary has once again been very fortunate to have Mr. Alexander and Mrs. Gilpin share their Tsilhqot’in knowledge and energy with our school community. Mr. Alexander and Mrs. Gilpin are continuing the teachings they began last year, sharing Tsilhqot’in drumming and singing traditions while also leading students and staff in Hoop Dancing.

Students and staff are in awe of Mr. Alexander’s passion and energy as he leads them through various hoop dance formations and routines. Students are having so much fun participating in the dances while learning about local culture and traditions.
