District Day South End Gathering

The staff of Horse Lake Elementary joined staff from other South End schools on the afternoon of the September 8 District Day to take part in Indigenous learning opportunities across the district. Learning stations were set up throughout Centennial Park and featured beading, Indigenous games, district resources, storytelling, and soapberry ice cream, among other activities. The Horse Lake Community Farm was also represented, highlighting a local opportunity to learn from the land. It was a meaningful and engaging way to start the school year.
