Horse Lake Elementary
At the Orange Shirt Day event held at the Williams Lake First Nation Pow Wow Arbour Grounds on September 29, Ms. Posnikoff's and Ms. Divya's classes had the opportunity to participate in this important day of learning and reflection. Throughout the event, students engaged in a variety of meaningful cultural learning experiences and activities.
We are pleased to share that Cody Thibeault, a Grade 5 student in Ms. Posnikoff's class, was awarded a beautiful commemorative card featuring Williams Lake First Nation Chief Willie Sellars. Cody believes his hard work and participation in the scavenger hunt helped him earn this special prize.
Congratulations, Cody, on your achievement and your enthusiastic engagement in this meaningful learning opportunity! We are proud of the respect, curiosity, and dedication you demonstrated throughout the day.
