The Cariboo‑Chilcotin School District helps support children, youth and families with breakfasts, lunches, and snacks in schools across the district. We also support families at home through two take‑home food programs: the Starfish Backpack Program at elementary schools (run with Rotary) and the Food Bag Program at middle and high schools (run with BGC). These backpacks and food bags help secure some food for children, youth and families at home.
BGC shared some amazing news — with support from CCSD27, they’ve already served over 12,000 meals in 2025! All of these food programs are made possible through the Cariboo‑Chilcotin School District’s Feeding Futures funding and the National School Food Program.
