Butterfly Release

Families at 100 Mile House StrongStart have really enjoyed learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly. Students carefully observed the changes in their caterpillars over the past weeks. Students were very keen and eager to share the "tricky word" chrysalid as they changed their form. Even the very young children in the group understood how the "caterpillars were wrapped up nice and warm in their cocoon like being wrapped in a blanket." It was very exciting when the butterflies emerged and the class was able to release them outside.
