A Journey Through Tsilhqot’in Territory

This month, students from our Shuswap and Chilcotin classes had the opportunity to travel to significant historical sites throughout the traditional Tsilhqot’in Territory to deepen their understanding of the history and legacy of the Six Tsilhqot’in War Chiefs.

Guided by Language and Culture Teacher Linda Jack, along with respected knowledge keepers, students visited important locations and engaged in meaningful learning about Tsilhqot’in history, culture, leadership, and resilience.

This experience provided students with a powerful connection to the land and stories that continue to shape the Tsilhqot’in Nation today.
