Alexis Creek Elementary/Secondary
The students and staff of Alexis Creek School would like to say thank you to the maintenance staff who look after our building and grounds. We have received many positive comments from members of the community and staff about the changes that were made to the ceiling of the front entrance to our school. The new ceiling stops birds from nesting above the doorway, which in the past caused a big mess and was a health concern that often resulted in the removal of the nest and the eggs. Now the entrance way is clean and no nests have to be removed, saving future baby birds.
In addition, students were thrilled to use the new basketball hoops that the carpenters made for our outside court. The work our maintenance teams do for our schools is amazing, and they do amazing work because they care but the students and they take pride in doing a great job for our schools. Thank you!
