Tatla Lake Elementary/Junior
For Take Me Outside Day, our students headed outdoors with paper cameras, using their viewfinders to explore the world around them through a different lens.
Students took on five challenges: finding a tiny world others might walk past, discovering interesting light and shadows, uncovering stories in nature, framing the big picture of our landscape, and finding a view that nobody else chose.
Along the way, students practiced careful observation, asked questions, looked for clues, and considered what makes the place we call home so special. From the smallest details to the bigger Chilcotin landscape, each student discovered something worth noticing. The activity culminated with students choosing their favourite framed view and completing a quick “photo card.”
