Tatla Lake Elementary/Junior
Taking our students to the cross-country race in Prince George was about more than running. It was about creating opportunities for students to discover what they enjoy, develop their strengths, and experience success in ways that are meaningful to them.
For a small, rural school, distance can sometimes be a barrier to participation. Making the trip to compete gives our students the opportunity to pursue their interests, challenge themselves, represent Tatla Lake, and be part of a larger school community. Whether a student is striving for a personal best, encouraging a teammate, or simply discovering that they love running, these experiences help students feel seen, valued, and connected.
Supporting student interests and talents is an important part of building a safe, caring, and inclusive learning community. We are proud to support our students in getting out there and giving it their best!
