South End Recognition of Truth and Reconciliation

Horse Lake students in Grades 1 through 7 attended the Orange Shirt Event hosted by 100 Mile Elementary in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The gathering featured meaningful words from Phyllis Webstad, Cheryl Chapman, and Mike Retasket, followed by all participants Walking Together around the field.

Students then visited a variety of learning stations featuring Spirit Carver Dean, the PSO Dancers and Drummers, and trappers Greg and Karen Pellerin. Participants were also treated to bannock, and the day concluded with prize draws. It was a meaningful and informative day of learning, reflection, and coming together.
