Manveer Kaur presents to new-to-the-district teachers at the Education Collective, a welcome orientation in August for new educators. Manveer came to the district in 2024 and shared her learning from her first year. The most important? Trauma-Informed Practices and how they shape all of her interactions with students.

Other presenters discussed topics such as the role of the union, HR supports, professional learning, Indigenous learning, classroom management, and how to prevent burnout as a new teacher.
