Raising the Fog

During Take Me Outside for Learning Week, Ms. Sonya took learning to the land by beginning her Secwepemc classes outdoors. Surrounded by the rising October fog, she started the day in a good way, opening with a Secwepemctsin song before teaching students various Secwepemc vocabulary words. Students then identified and matched the words to items they found in the natural environment around them. It was a fantastic morning of learning with and from the land.
