Today was Day 2 of Literacy Week!
We had the pleasure of having Wildland Firefighter Zach Herrick & Community Engagement Specialist Madison Dahl from Cariboo Fire Centre come read the beautiful book "Wildfires" to Ms. Pagé's class today! They stayed for 45 mins to answer all the student questions!! Thank you so much!
We also welcomed World Archery Champion Al Campsall to read Snow White to Mrs. Campbell's & Ms. Hird's classes today! The students really loved his story telling skills! The students wished him luck on his trip to Abu Dhabi next week to represent Canada in the World Master's Games.
Our Literacy Week Book Battle also began today! Every Class read "Pancakes for Breakfast" by Tomie DePaola & "Fry Bread" by Kevin Noble Mailard, and voted for which one was their favourite. Tomorrow we will find out which book made it to the next round!!
