Leadership attend BC Mental Health in Schools Symposium

Members of the SD27 leadership team recently attended the BC Mental Health in Schools Symposium, with school professionals and stakeholders from across the province. Topics included early learning, student voice in mental health and the role of families in child and youth mental health. Valued guest speakers spoke on race, gender and stigma as factors in childhood well-being. The province's strategies with ERASE around compassionate systems leadership, capacity building, and mental health in classrooms were celebrated and discussed for next steps. Lots of takeaways were found and shared!
