Indigenous Resource Centre Preparing for Learning - Harvesting Tea Leaves

Many of the medicines and resources collected for district-wide use happens over the summer. Lucky for us fall time goodness comes in the variety of tea leaf called Labrador tea. Freda Alphonse and Dancing Water Sandy pose while standing in swamp water collecting these valuable leaves. Classes across the whole district benefit from this harvest. Knowledge Keepers are often gifted tea blends with these leaves as ingredients.
