Cataline Elementary
It began in doors during the late winter months and is now transitioning outside now that spring is upon us. Cataline teachers and students have been actively participating in various gardening activities, from Mrs. Tomlinson’s class working with BC Agriculture in the Classroom, Spuds in Tubs program, Ms. LeBourdais’ ½ class planting vegetables, and Mrs. Kohlen’s K/1 class grow and examining various types of grass, students are learning about the life-cycles of plants, as well as preparing vegetation to be transplanted and grown around our school. New growth brings new learning opportunities, and these hands-on projects are a wonderful way to connect our students to outdoor science competencies and our local environment. Hopefully, we see some of these plants yield results!
