Grade 5 Rattles

With the guidance and knowledge of Cecil Sheena and Val West from WLFN Culture & Language team, grade 5 students had the opportunity to complete their traditional rattle project, learning about the cultural significance of the rattle, as well as the traditional materials that were used to create such a wonderful instrument. Students learned the value of patience and perseverance through this project, while demonstrating independence and eventually mastery. Once complete, students were overjoyed with pride, as well as gratitude for the adults who assisted them with the project.
