From the Ground Up

Principal Crystal Dawn Langton proudly shared highlights with the Board of the instructional practice at 100 Mile Elementary that is having an impact on student success. Her presentation, titled From the Ground Up: Literacy and Outdoor Education, showed how a school-wide commitment to taking learning out onto the land and a shared approach to teaching literacy are improving student outcomes. The school team has assessment information that guides their lessons and data that shows promising improvements in literacy. It was a fantastic illustration of how school plans aligned with district key focus areas are improving our system.
