Elder in Residence

Elder Elsie Urquhart is our Elder in Residence at 100 Mile Elementary school. She came to us in October 2024 and quickly established a grandmother role in our school. She is a major support that helps us connect to our mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. All her teachings come from an Indigenous perspective and strong understanding of Indigenous history in the community.
