Cultivating a Conscientious Book Culture

Staff was learning about the importance of having a diverse representation in school literature. This diverse representation helps all readers feel valued and increases their understanding of the world. Using the lens of Critical Literacy, staff explored how to engage learners in thoughtful conversations around power, justice, equity, and inclusion.
