At the recent Classrooms to Communities Conference in Prince George, staff participated in inspiring workshops exploring nature-based inquiry, storytelling, and land-based learning:
From Page to Place, presented by Nature Kids BC, explored how nature stories can spark curiosity and connect classroom learning with the natural world.
Human-Nature Kinship: Youth Films as Land-Based Inquiry explored how students can use filmmaking and technology to share their perspectives and deepen their connections with plants, ecosystems, and the land.
These workshops provided fresh inspiration for learning at Tatla Lake Elementary & Jr. Secondary School, where our surrounding forests, lakes, and wildlife offer endless opportunities for inquiry and place-based learning.
