Big Cedars Trail

Students explored the Big Cedars Trail in Bella Coola, on the traditional territory of the Nuxalk Nation. They learned about culturally modified trees and the importance of sustainability. Along the way, students discovered local plants used for medicinal purposes and gained a deeper appreciation for the Nuxalk people’s connection to the land and their traditional ecological practices.
