School Messenger
School District No. 27 uses the School Messenger (Safe Arrival) App (download here) to inform caregivers of school and District information, as well as for caregivers to enter absences. It's a free and easy-to-use tool for families to notify when their child is away, late, or leaving early and it keeps you connected to your child's school and district. Please note that all undocumented absences will be considered "unexcused".
Note:
- Student's are required to sign in or out at the office if they arrive late or depart early as we are a "closed" campus. The parent or guardian is required to notify using the School Messenger system or call the school of any changes to their child's attendance.
- The School Messenger system or school must receive the student's "excused" absence prior to 4:00 pm. To prevent the absence to be reported as an "unexcused" absence.
- To inquire about an absence notification, please contact your child's teacher by email. The teacher's email addresses are listed under Staff Directory.
If you prefer to contact the school to report an absence and receive our answering machine, please leave a brief message with your child's:
- Student's - Full name
- Date(s) Away (ie: Monday Oct 16th)
- Time Away (ie: First Block, All day, 10:30 to 11:30 am)
- Reason (ie: Sick, Vacation, Appointment, Other)
