Student Registration

School District #27 will be using the MyEducation BC online registration process for Kindergarten student registration. Online registration is for Kindergarten registrations and new students to School District #27 schools only.  T

Online registration is encouraged; however hard copy registrations are also accepted at catchment schools.

Students will register at the school in their catchment area.  Parents not sure of their catchment area are requested to contact the nearest elementary school, the School District Office (250-398-3811), or the Online School Locator. 

If you wish your child to attend a school that is not your catchment school, you must submit a School of Choice application. Check out the School of Choice link below for further information.

The following documents are required at registration and must be uploaded with your online-registration.:

  1. Birth Certificate or Passport
  2. BC Care Card - both sides are required
  3. Two pieces of proof of physical address are required i.e. mortgage statement, rental agreement, hydro bill.  **Driver's license, BCID, and Care Card are second pieces only

Registration is not complete until all required documents are received.

The latest report card from the previous school will assist the registration process.

If your child has a special need, bring all available medical records, psycho-educational assessments and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to the school when you register your child. If you do not have these records, the principal will ask you to sign a form giving permission to request them. The principal will send these records to the Student Support Services Department of the School District which will then work with you to identify classes or support systems to help your child.

Online registration is for Kindergarten and students new to School District #27.
