The Cariboo-Chilcotin School Board is both an urban and rural School District with many opportunities for teachers. In order to meet the specific needs of our students, various school configurations have been established including:
- K – 7, K – 9, 8 – 12, and 10 – 12 Regular Programs
- K – 7, 8 – 12, and 10 – 12 French Immersion Programs
- K – 9 Regular Programs
- 8 – 9 Regular Junior High Programs
- A number of Alternate programs at the Secondary School Level
- A number of Adult Education and Distributed Learning Programs
School District No. 27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) posts all its external jobs online through Make a Future – Careers in BC Education. The Make a Future – Careers in BC Education site is managed by Apply to Education, so if you have an existing account with them, you can use your username and password to log into Make a Future. If not, you can create an account on Make a Future – Careers in BC Education by clicking ‘Register’.
Once you have an account, please sign up for the “Job Alert” feature so you are emailed jobs that interest you.
Please note that candidates also have the option of applying to our District by mailing in their application. However, if you choose to apply on Make a Future, you do not need to fill out a paper application or mail/courier any information directly to the District office.

School District No. 27 is now accepting teacher applications from external applicants year round through Make a Future and Apply to Education. We encourage all external applicants to apply to our District online through either one of these web sites. Furthermore, we encourage you to sign up for the “job alert” feature to be emailed to you when we post jobs on Apply to Education.
Before you can be considered for a teaching job in British Columbia, you must hold a current B.C. Teaching Certificate.

Remember, you will not be considered for a teaching position, or for a position on the Employee On-Call list with the Cariboo-Chilcotin School District until you have been issued your British Columbia Teacher’s Certificate or a letter of eligibility. Additionally, the Teacher Qualification Services must complete an assessment of your university for salary classification purposes.
