Grade 11 and 12 Independent Studies Environmental Stewardship Course

Program Description

Students develop a project that incorporates natural history and/or some form of stewardship in conjunction with a teacher and mentor from the community that the student is interested in. Mentor’s are volunteers who have expertise in a field related to the environment. Students then work with their mentor to complete the project according to the timeline they set for themselves. This course is great for transitioning students to post secondary education while also introducing them to various careers in natural history and environmental fields.

How to Register

Interested students should contact the counsellors at the high school.
