Cariboo-Chilcotin schools are organized into four areas: North, South, East, and West. Every school has its own catchment area. Each school also belongs to a family of schools (or cluster) that has similar sizes, configuration, students, and educational needs. All Cariboo-Chilcotin schools provide a comprehensive educational program, as well as special programs to meet a wide variety of student needs. Cariboo-Chilcotin schools follow the British Columbia Provincial Curriculum. In total there are:
- 3 secondary schools
- 6 elementary junior secondary schools
- 16 elementary schools

School growth plans are developed annually by parents, staff members and students and include clear goals for improving and enhancing student learning and development.
