“Career Development is one of the three goals of education from kindergarten to grade 12.”

School District No. 27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) offers a wide range of programs and resources in Career Education designed to prepare students in attaining their career and occupational objectives.  This involves:

  • Assisting them in the development of effective work habits
  • Providing them with the flexibility to deal with change in the workplace

Through partnerships with employers, post secondary institutions, and community organizations, the District is able to create a variety of learning opportunities. The career programs learning opportunities available are:

  1. Career Technical Programs (ACE-IT and Transition)
  2. Secondary School Apprenticeship
  3. Post Secondary Transition Programs (Dual Credit)
  4. Elective Work Experience
  5. Junior Initial Attack Training
  6. RCMP Academy
  7. Heavy Metal Rocks
  8. Graduation Transitions
