When does the Board of Education meet?
The Board of Education meets as a board monthly, normally at 6:30pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month. The public may address the Board regarding items that are ON the agenda and items that are NOT ON the agenda. Public may also register as a delegation to present to the Board. What about Committees of the Board?
Standing committees of the Board also meet once a month. These meetings are open to the public to attend, unless confidential items are predetermined, in which case, all public will be excused. Participation is limited to the members of each committee. A representative from each of the following groups make up the membership of the committee:
- (3) Trustees;
- (1) Cariboo-Chilcotin Principals/Vice-Principals Association;
- (1) Cariboo-Chilcotin Teachers\’ Association;
- (1) IUOE;
- (1) First Nations Education Committee;
- (1) District Parent Advisory Council;
- (2) Students (one from each secondary school: PSO and LCSS)
Meetings are normally held at the School Administration Office.
